Induction for big babies- just why?

Although it is not recommended by most professional guidelines, it is the 5th most common reason for induction 

The bigger the ultrasound estimate, the more likely it is to be inaccurate (many are told they have a big baby based on a late ultrasound and end up having an averaged sized baby!) So, there is really no accurate way to tell if the baby will be big at birth. 

There are many risks to be induced, so if your doctor gives you a reason ike this (non evidence based) I would think twice!
